Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 with an idea of creating of Higher Technical Institutions for post-war industrial development in India. The committee, headed by Nalini Ranjan Sarkar, recommended the establishment of these institutions in various parts of India, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Having produced cream of the crop students during the past decades, IITs became hallmark of quality technology education internationally, simply by creating the needed ambience for quality academics. • Selection will be done on the basis of GATE score card.
• CGPA 8/10 for any IITs.
• Written Test and Interview.

Important Notification

Points to be Noted for Admission in IIT Jodhpur

• GATE qualified candidates and IIT B.Tech. graduates who accept the offer of admission must produce completion certificate of their qualifying degree examination and join the Institute.
• Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the offer of admission. Sponsored candidates also should report for admission.
• Selected candidates will have to pay various fees and deposit amounts as applicable.
• The candidate must produce a medical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the format which can be downloaded along with the letter of offer of admission.
