Selection Procedure

• The GATE requirement is waived for B.Tech. graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA more than 8.0 on 10 point.
• Along with GATE score, written test/interview will be conducted for Civil Engineering and Biomedical Engineering candidates. For other streams GATE score is the only criteria for getting into M.Tech.

Important Notification

Points to be Noted for Admission in IIT Mumbai

• AMIE degree holders are eligible to apply to any of the programmes at IIT Mumbai.
• All the candidates with BE/B.Tech in Engineering disciplines need to have a valid GATE score for any of the M.Tech course.
• Candidates having two years of relevant work experience are waived from requirement of GATE score provided their candidature is sponsored by the employer. They are not eligible for award of Teaching/Research Assistantship.
• Those students who are in the final year of their qualifying examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply. However, they should have completed all the requirements for the award of their qualifying degree.

• Candidates can chose to apply for a maximum of 3 disciplines from ME/M.Tech.
