IES Online Test Series

IES Test Series is held at ECG’s website (www.engineerscareergroup.in) and especially designed to teach methodology or technique to appear in the IES and other competitive/PSUs exams. Test series consists of set of important questions designed by our R&D department (not only from previous papers). It may help students to enhance their examination skills with a dense online competitive environment. Although with this Test Series, students can practice many important questions. It helps the students for clearing doubts and building their concepts at their own place.

Online detailed solutions for each test will be provided to the students. Question bank will be the same as open test series, which may held at our campus. Objective tests may help students in GATE also.

IES Test Structure

IES National Level Test Series will consist of 10 quality tests in number. The detailed structure of Test Series is given below:

IES Sectional Test

A) Technical

Question Types
Technical test will consist of total 30 questions and of 100 marks. There will be two sections:

Section (A): Objective Type Questions

Section (B): Subjective Type Questions
It will consist of two parts as mentioned below:
Part(A): Compulsory (C)
Part (B): Chosen (H)

Questions Distribution
Distribution of total 30 questions in technical test is given below:-

Test Duration:
Technical Test duration will be 2 hr only.

Negative Marking
In technical test, one-third of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for each wrong question. No negative marking for Subjective questions.

B) General Ability

Question Types
General Ability test will consist of total 60 questions and of 120 marks. There will be only objective type questions.

Distribution of total 60 questions in general ability test is given below:-

Test Duration:
General Ability Test duration will be 1 hr and 30 min only.

Negative Marking

IES Full Length Test

A) Technical

Question Types
Technical Test will consist of total 52 questions and of 200 marks. There will be two sections:

Section (A): Objective Type Questions

Section (B): Subjective Type Questions

It will consist of two parts as mentioned below: Part(A): Compulsory (C)
Part (B): Chosen (H)

Distribution of total 52 questions in Technical Test is given below:

General Ability Test will consist of total 120 questions and of 200 marks. There will be only Objective type questions.
